kay so how do you cook Brussels sprouts so that they don’t take like death and misery and sad kittens and cancelled Christmas?
my best friend meryl taught me this:
get a sheet of foil. cut the sprouts in HALF. make sure there’s enough foil so that you can basically wrap them up in a rectangular pocket of sorts. drizzle olive oil over all of them, then add some sea salt and then some sort of pepper. I love lemon pepper. It is a good friend of mine. fold over all the edges to make a little pocket/container for the sprouts, then broil it for 15-25 minutes in the oven, middle rack. I like mine slightly burnt and crispy because most of the bitterness goes away, so I leave them in at least 20 minutes.
